Claud Baking is a local maker of artisan pies. Our philosophy from the beginning has been to combine simple ingredients with traditional scratch baking methods and beautiful design.

COCONUT CREAM

The Coconut Cream pie has a deep, rich coconut flavor with a hint of pure vanilla, topped with a swiss meringue. Our signature hand rolled crust completes this dessert. Excellent for any gathering.

KEYLIME

We use fresh Key limes to give this pie a medium tart taste. The crust is a traditional hand pressed graham cracker crumb. A great summer and year around dessert.

CHOCOLATE MERINGUE

The Chocolate Meringue pie has a deep, rich chocolate flavor, topped with a swiss meringue. Our signature hand rolled crust completes this dessert. A chocolate lovers delight.

RASPBERRY

Our Raspberry pie is lightly sweetened to create a balance of ripe and tart flavors. The signature hand rolled crust with lattice top are baked to a golden finish. A summer favorite that pairs nicely with ice cream.

PECAN

Fresh roasted pecans, brown sugar, and pure vanilla come together to make this classic dessert. Our signature hand rolled crust completes this dessert.

Made from fresh roasted sugar-pumpkins, this filling has a creamy texture with a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and tangy buttermilk. Our signature hand rolled crust completes this dessert. A traditional Fall season favorite.

CRANBERRY PEAR

We use fresh ripe pears and lightly sweetened cranberries, then add traditional spices to this holiday recipe. Our signature hand rolled crust with lattice top are baked to a golden finish.

CANBERRY-PECAN COFFEE CAKE

This cake is moist with sweet and tangy cranberries banked in. We add a pecan crumb top and lightly dust with powdered sugar. This dessert pairs great with morning coffee during the holidays.

To offer the highest in quality, desserts are made fresh from scratch only after we receive your order. We take orders by phone Tuesday through Friday from 9am-3pm. Please see the schedule for order and pickup times.

Large orders require a two week notice.

THE STORY

CLAUD BAKING

Claud (KLAWD) Richardson was a farmer by trade who grew a variety of produce from black-eyed peas to peaches on his local farm. The seasons bounty the family harvested would be sold and bartered, but much of it would be used in the family kitchen to make fresh scratch pies and desserts for all to enjoy.

INSPIRATION

Claud Baking is a family owned business founded by husband and wife, Russell & Diana Richardson in 2013. They were influenced by the traditions from the older generations in their families. Diana’s mother, who has been cooking and baking from scratch since the tender age of ten, created her passion for culinary baking. Russell’s Grandfather, Claud (KLAWD)Richardson, practiced farm-to-table living for a lifetime. Since great desserts start with quality ingredients, many of our fruits and nuts are harvested from local farms when in season. We hope you enjoy our recipes that combine old kitchen techniques with real ingredients to produce desserts with incredible taste.
